Thursday 2/25/10
A Dremel tool came to my rescue when I was removing the port side deck substructure. I also leveled the Beast to within a quarter of an inch, I will complete the leveling job before ANY interior construction is started.
Wednesday 2/24/10
After intelligent research (we turned the sail bag right-side-out) we found that our new "Beast" is actually a "ROBERTS 27". Now we have a reference for future set-up and sail plan. The water line is still questionable but nothing too serious. The cabin hieght is different but the owner is 6'4" so every little bit helps.

Rain , Snow , and Lousy Weather deep in the heart of Texas.
I am a 49 year old single man with an assortment of hobbies and interests. I graduated from Cy-Fair High School outside of Houston, TX and attended various colleges. I have been a carpenter for many years because I love to build things and as my first boss told me "Damn-it Jimmy, you only have to be smarter than the wood".
I am in a couple of bands including: Driftwood(liquiddaddy.com), Black Market Band, and The Deciples. We perform every year at the Houston Art Car Parade (pulled in a trailer by Venus in her 1974 caddy "Hairse") we also host an open mic night at "The Olmos Bharmacy" in San Antonio. I play guitar and piano (not at the same time) and I sing lead and backing vocals. I am teaching myself to play the bagpipes and the digereedoo (again not at the same time) however, my debut on these instruments is a long way off.
I am starting a boat restoration company because I have worked in custom homes, building cabinets and installing interior trim, for over 10 years and I needed a change of pace. I love the look of large sailboats and felt that I could apply my knowledge to a new industry.
